Another Mental Bedtime

Ailsa and I thought we’d check in on the twins this evening.  This is how we found our little lovely monkeys:

Giant roller-skates

Do try this at home! It’s not too dangerous but you’ll need some special equipment.

You will need:
a pair of wooden tricycles (with pink wheels),
some strong tape,
a dad,
freshly roasted coffee.

Good luck.

Clever Monkeys

http://www.youtube.com/get_player

The monkeys have been learning all sorts of exciting new tricks recently. Here’s one captured on filum courtesy of Godmother Marianne. Thanks Miss Lane!
Ivy took a couple of steps all by herself four weeks ago today! – but only one more since. And Violet’s second bottom tooth is finally making an appearance.
Best wishes for the rest of Advent.

A Very Busy Month

It’s been a very busy summer. Ivy has learnt to crawl and has two teeth; Violet is making lots of noise and has learnt how to take off her own nappy; and we’ve all moved to a lovely new house. Thanks to all our friends who’ve been patiently helping us shift all our stuff and collect furniture etc etc etc. We’re just about settled in now and it’s great to have more space to make mess.
I’ll try to post more frequently in the next few weeks…

This was the first time Ivy pulled herself up to standing.

Isn’t that a pip!

On the move…

Strangers from across the ocean

Very strange indeed.

The new playpen. It’s truly wonderful.

Look at that. Ivy has eaten all the Sudocrem.

Scary Gale I

Being the birth & death day of old Bill,
I shallst relate in pentametric verse:

Violet and Ivy were weighed on Tuesday:
Eleven pounds and eight the latter was,
the former nine and seven, catching up.
But they’re not the only ones getting big.
Their parents have of late been growing too,
indulging in a stream of cho co late;

(‘if chocolate be the food of love, eat on’)
paddling in a flowing river of cake;
swimming in a resevoir of biscuit;
diving the depths of an ocean of cheese;
cruising the seas of awful metaphor.
and so on and so forth et-cetera.

Please forgive th’unsubtle lack of rhyme,
I would have tried but for a lack of t…
